DESCRIPTION: 16 June 2026 | Scandic Plaza, Umeå | 22:00–01:00 BONJU arrives at the Arctic Arts Summit. “Bonju” is a Sámi word meaning crooked, not straight — reclaimed in a similar way to queer. On 16 June, BONJU opens as a queer-centred Indigenous gathering within the Arctic Arts Summit, bringing together delegates, artists, and guests for an evening of performance, encounter, and celebration at Scandic Plaza in Umeå. Hosted by Timimie Märak, the evening features live performance by Linus Johnsen, burlesque by Pepper Potemkin, and DJs sets by Frtetude. Programme Practical information Doors open at 22:00.Performances begin at 23:00.Music and social gathering continue until 01:00. BONJU is organised by RFSL Umeå in collaboration with Garmeres.
